William Gerend Obituary

William “Bill” Gerend died unexpectedly on Thursday, May 14th, 2020 at the age of 65 years old. Bill was born Friday, June 25th, 1954 in Appleton, WI to parents Margaret “Marge” and Herbert Gerend. He married his wife Ann Lindloff in 1976. He received a degree in Computer Programming from Fox Valley Technical College in 1977. Bill was an avid outdoorsmen who enjoyed spending his time fishing and enjoying nature at his cabin near High Falls Flowage in Stephenson, WI. He also enjoyed biking around town and taking pictures of his hometown Kaukauna, WI.

He was preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Paul. He is survived by his wife; daughters Dana (Andy) VerKuilen and Lisa (Corey) Schmitz; beloved grandchildren Carter, Callie, and Colten VerKuilen and Lucas Schmitz; and siblings Susan (Thomas) Buxton, JoAnn (John) Riechwald, Michael (Susan) Gerend, and David (Cindy) Gerend.

Our Family would like to extend our gratitude to the first responders and Valley Funeral Home. Bill will be cremated with no services planned at this time.
