Theodore Fellner Obituary

Theodore Francis Fellner, age 79 of Appleton/Neenah, passed away peacefully June 20, 2022, with his family beside him after a battle with cancer.  He was a brilliant man who lived 28,868 days born June 9, 1943 to the late Mary (Ritzman) Fellner and John Fellner.  He grew up in Antigo, WI where he met the love of his life, Karen E. (Nitecki) Fellner.  They settled in the Fox Valley living a vibrant life and would’ve been married 60 years this July.

Ted enjoyed all facets of business starting out as an apprentice at Square D Company that equipped him to be a contract engineering specialist for a number of engineering firms. This brought him to Kimberly-Clark Corporation where he worked on a variety of proprietary projects that led to a sales career and management.  Here he helped to develop nonwoven products used in hospitals to this day.  He transitioned into engineering and sales for Rolco International where he developed new applications, mainly in the tissue converting industry, for nearly 30 years.  As President of Rolco, he built meaningful relationships with global partners in different markets and attained a patent in 1983 for a Horizontal Accumulator for conveyor systems which is still being used to this day. Ted continued to consult and develop business in retirement for manufacturers that will carry on years beyond his passing.

Ted loved God and lived a full life travelling with Karen, enjoying golf, exercise and the company of his family and friends.  He grew up without a father who died when he was 3 years old sparking a desire to be the quintessential family man.  He was our patriarch who helped others at every turn.  An intelligent, hardworking man of integrity, humor, generosity, and humility who people were drawn to great conversation with.

He is survived by his wife, Karen, Daughter Tina M. (Fellner) Ferron, Son Todd M. Fellner, and Daughter Tammy M. (Fellner) Muller and all 10 Grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held this Friday, June 24th at Appleton Alliance Church with visitation 9 a.m to 11 a.m, funeral at 11:00 a.m.

Ted was a resourceful man who would not want people to spend money on flowers.  He would find great enjoyment having donations bless the Neenah-Menasha YMCA where he spent a great deal of his life enjoying the relationships and camaraderie of the men and women there.  You can do so here.
