Shirley Gillespie Obituary

Shirley Lee Gillespie passed away on October 16, 2021 at the age of 87.

Born January 29, 1934 in Lincoln, Nebraska, Shirley graduated from The University of Nebraska with a degree in elementary education and dedicated herself to the first graders of the Appleton Public school system. In her free time, Shirley was an avid bridge player and shopper and enjoyed her time out golfing and travelling to Door County with her husband, Jack.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Jack and her brother, Roy Stohlman and preceded in death by her parents, LeRoy and Alberta (Johnson) Stohlman, and her brother, Albert Stohlman.

Shirley’s family would like to thank the wonderful nurses and staff at ThedaCare At Home Hospice and Cherry Meadows Hospice for their service.

In keeping with the wishes of the family, no services will be held.
