Peter J. Scovronski, age 80 of Greenville, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Silverstone Memory Care, Appleton. He was born on March 15, 1942 to the late Henry and Joan (Giese) Scovronski in Menasha. After graduating from high school, Peter spent a short time in the Army Reserves. On February 6, 1965 he married Kathleen Kandler. He worked for about 37 years with the George Banta Company before his retirement. Peter enjoyed working on cars, especially old cars. He had restored a Model A, which he sold to buy his ’57 Chevy pickup truck that he also restored and sold. Peter loved spending time with his family and taking trips to the casino.
Survivors include his wife, Kathy, daughter, Julie (Travis) Heintz and grandsons, Andrew and Adam Heintz. He is further survived by his brothers; Frank (Chris) Scovronski and Greg (Dorothy) Scovronski as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding Peter in death are his parents, brothers and sister; James, Hank, Chester, Veronica, David and John.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, February 5, 2023 from 1:00pm until 3:00pm at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N Richmond St, Appleton with a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers and other expressions of sympathy, the family is establishing a memorial fund.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Silverstone Memory Care as well as the staff from Preceptor Hospice for all of the care and compassion shown to Peter.
