Neil David Buchberger

Neil Buchberger, age 70 of Kaukauna passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 24, 2022.  Neil was born on July 20, 1951 in Appleton to the late Bernard and Florence (nee Kuepper).  Neil was united in marriage to the love of his life, Susan Buchberger (nee Van Ooyen) on September 19, 1975.  Neil joined the US Army in 1971 and served his country till 1973.  He worked at the paper mill in Kimberly for 40 years and also worked as a mail carrier for the United States Post Office for over 20 years.

Neil enjoyed going to his cottage, hunting, fishing, restoring his 1970 Cutlass and watching the Packers, Badgers, Bucks and Brewers.  But most of all, he loved spending time with his family and his beloved dog Toby.

Neil is survived by his wife, daughters; Jaime (Edward) Potopinski, Jessie (Alan) Stein and Jodey (Bob) Stocks, grand-children; Justin, Amelia, Braden, Mason and Riley, great-grand daughter; Autumn, God daughter; Donya, siblings; Keith (Mary Jo) Buchberger, Scott (Valarie) Buchberger and Lisa (Jeff) Kowalski, friends; Dan Bequette, and Dave Fiestadt, along with many cousins, aunts, nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his parents and in-laws Bob and Mouse Van Ooyen along with his niece, Anne Young.

The family would like to thank Thedacare at Home Hospice workers Amber, Peggy, Claire and Dr. Paul Russo and Dr. Robert Nonn for their hard work and compassion during this difficult time.
