Michael James Baker

Michael James Baker of Appleton, age 76, passed away on October 10, 2021. He was born on October 9th, 1945 in Milwaukee WI.

Michael was a loving husband, father and grandpa. He enjoyed Wisconsin Sports, Brewers, Packer and Badgers. Michael also enjoyed NASCAR and bowling. Some of his favorite times were traveling to Florida or Cancun.  He was also very fond of slot machines.

Michael is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary, a daughter Jennifer Schaefer and son Bengi (Diana) Baker. He is further survived by his Grandchildren Dalton Evatt, Isaiah Schaefer, Evan and Braydn Baker, sister, Patricia (Ed) Synowicz, brother in law, Marvin (Karen) Mercier and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Dr. Dernlan and Tracy of Primary Care Associates and UW Madison Health. A special Thank you to Michelle and the Staff on the 6th floor at Theda Care Appleton we are so grateful to you all for helping keep Michael comfortable in his last days.

A gathering of friends and family is scheduled for October 16th, 2021 from 12-4pm at 1816 E Sylvan Ave., Appleton.
