Marianne Baehman Obituary

Marianne Baehman, September 27, 1951 – February 28, 2021

Marianne Baehman, age 69, passed away peacefully with her family by her side after a courageous fight with COVID.  Marianne was born in Marion, WI to William and Mildred Schultz.  She grew up in Marion and Milwaukee before moving to Appleton in Junior High and remaining in Appleton for the remainder of her life.  She graduated from Appleton West High School in 1969.  She attended Fox Valley Technical College.  She spent many years working at Sears throughout several different departments before moving on to Wisconsin Institute of Urology where she retired in 2017.  Marianne married Lee Baehman on November 4th, 1972.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandma, sister, aunt, and friend.

Marianne loved to travel throughout the United States and Mexico.  When travelling she loved to find local restaurants, wineries, and shops.  When Marianne wasn’t travelling, she liked to spend time at her and Lee’s second home, their camper, at Harbour Village in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin.  She loved “bobbing” in the adult pool for her morning swim and spending time with many friends they made over the years at the campground.  She also enjoyed following the Brewers and going to games in Milwaukee and other stadiums throughout their travels.  Whether she was cheering on Ethan at cross country meets, listening and watching Taylor and Alex sing and perform on the stage and cheering Morgan on in basketball and softball, her most treasured time was time spent supporting her kids and grandchildren.  Those who knew Marianne, knew that she truly had a “ZEST” for life!  She loved hard and was fiercely loyal to her friends & family.

Although her time ended too soon, Marianne lived life to the fullest in her 69 years.  Marianne is survived and will be dearly missed by her husband, Lee Baehman;  son, Brian Baehman (Amy); daughter, Jana Baehman (Chris Wood); grandchildren, Ethan Hughes, Taylor Baehman, Alex Hughes, and Morgan Baehman.  She is further survived by her sister, Kitty Schultz; brother, Michael Schultz (Celia Snow); sisters-in-law LuAnn Timm (Steve); Lori Schroeder; stepfamily including good friends Scott Vogt (Pam); many nieces, nephews, and friends.  We can’t leave out her very special dog, Cooper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mildred Schultz; her brother Scott Schultz; her In Laws, Herb & Ann Baehman; Paul & Verna Rohloff; and her very special friend, Susan Femal, who has a gimlet waiting for her in Heaven.  Marianne will be greatly missed by all those who were lucky enough to know her.

A public visitation will be held for Marianne on Thursday, March 4, 2021 from 1pm-3pm, with service to follow at 3pm at Valley Funeral Home in Appleton (2211 N Richmond St).  All attendees must wear a mask and observe social distancing.   The Family will be wearing Brewer attire in honor of Marianne’s love for The Brewers.  Those who are planning to come, feel free to show your love too by wearing any Brewer clothing.  Live streaming is available on the Valley Funeral Home Facebook page www.facebook.com/Valley-Funeral-Home-938408146238680

A celebration of life will be held this summer when we can do so more safely.
