Margaret “Marge” Larsen, age 81 of Appleton, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022 at St. Elizabeth Hospital following many health issues. She was born on March 22, 1941 to the late Clarence and Adeline (Kemkes) Kneice in Appleton. Marge enjoyed playing Bingo, going to rummage sales and selling at flea markets. She liked to do embroidery, making towels to take to craft shows and sell. She was a collector of cookie jars, having a collection of over 150 of them. Marge liked setting up her Christmas village and loved having her family over for any holiday. She was also a daily visitor at the Black Bear (Golden Basket) Restaurant where she would meet up with friends. She will be missed by her family and many friends.
She is survived by her sons; Bob (Pamela) Crosby and Rick (Michelle) Crosby, grandchildren; Julie, Jesse (special friend Fiera), Tina and Christopher, grandson in law, Aaron Payne, and step grandchildren; Justin and Mariah. She is further survived by her great grandchildren; Karmen, Trinity and Oliver, step great grandchildren; Kyle and Olivia, her sister, Rita (tony) Schaar, niece and nephew; Angie (Derek) and Michael, her bird and best friend, Toby as well as other relatives and friends.
Preceding Marge in death are her parents, her husband, Larry and her grandchildren; Nicholas and Cassandra.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21, 2022 from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton, and again on Thursday, September 22, 2022 from 10:00am until 10:45am at Sacred Heart Parish 222 E Fremont St. Appleton, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00am at church. Burial will take place at Riverside Cemetery. In lieu of flowers or other expressions of sympathy, memorials in Margaret’s name may be directed to either Sacred Heart Catholic Church https://sacredheartappleton.com or Roseberry Bird Rescue https://roseberrybirdrescue.org.
