LeRoy N. Coenen, age 79 of Appleton, passed away unexpectedly at home on Monday, January 30, 2023. He was born on November 27, 1943 on the family farm in Little Chute to the late Otto and Marie (Hooyman) Coenen. He was in the Army Reserve for a brief time after graduating from high school. He was still employed at Car City in Appleton and had a great passion for motor vehicles. In his spare time he enjoyed keeping his yard tidy, gardening and riding his motorcycle with friends. He was a man of faith, going to church daily for Mass.
He is survived by his daughters; Lisa Burton and Tracy Wiesehuegel, grandchildren; Whitney and Wyatt Wolfgram, Kurtis White, Stephanie and Keyarra Meulemans, Andrew and Austin Wiesehuegel, great grandchildren, Satori and Serenity. LeRoy is further survived by his brother and sisters; Julane (Jim) Feldkamp, Grace (Florian) Smits, Suzanne Coenen and Jim “Otto” (Les) Coenen, sister in law, Tess Coenen and brother in law, Gordy Sprangers as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Preceding LeRoy in death are his parents, his daughter, Lori Coenen, brothers Ronald and Jerry (Ginny) Coenen and sister, Yvonne Sprangers.
Family and friends may gather on Sunday, February 12, 2023 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St, Appleton from 1:00pm until 3:00pm with a memorial service to follow at 3:00pm. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund is being established.
