Kristopher P. Koza, 34, of Appleton, passed away June 16, 2022. Kris was born March 8, 1988 in St. Paul, MN.
Kris loved being a father. Him and his son Liam enjoyed many things together like playing video games, watching movies, going to the park, and hanging with friends. Kris had many dad jokes at the tip of his tongue and enjoyed goofing around. He co-parented well with his son's mother, and they enjoyed many activities as a family. His music, fishing, cars, and motorcycles were also important to him which he liked telling Liam about. His most favorite thing to do was spend time with Liam and snuggle his little boy.
Kristopher, or as his friends called him "Koza" was one of a kind, he enjoyed sitting in his garage listening to music and working on motorcycles into the early morning hours. One thing about Kris is that he seemed to know a little about everything and was not shy about sharing his knowledge. He was always ready and willing to help any of his friends when they were in need, and would show up to their house with snacks, a few beers, and that very distinct laugh as well as randomly cutting grass for his friends at 10 o'clock at night. When Kris would be on his way home from a night motorcycle ride, we would let his friends know he was safe by driving by their house and revving his engine loud and proud. Kris made an impact in so many ways with his friends and will forever be remembered as that loving guy we all came to know and love.
Kris worked at Johnson Controls as a Fire Suppression Equipment Inspector/Installer since 2018. He enjoyed working with his hands, which meant he usually knew how to fix anything. He was always offering his help to those around him who needed it. He was a hard worker and showed those values always.
Kris is survived by his son, Liam Koza, Liam’s mother, Kayla Meyers, Mother, Edith Michalski (Piper), Father, Gerald (Wink) Koza, Sister, Elizabeth (Koza) Tiberg and half sister, Rachel (Koza) Silva.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022 at Valley Funeral Home; 2211 N. Richmond. St, Appleton from 11am-2pm, with a service to follow.
He will be missed by family and friends and his son will forever have him in his heart.
