Jerry Schnese Obituary

Jerry Lee Schnese, 61, of Menasha passed away on Monday January 4, 2021 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton. On May 11, 1959 in Neenah a beautiful, blue-eyed, blonde baby boy was born to Jerome and Susan (McDonnell) Schnese. They named him Jerry Lee. Jerry took his first steps shortly before his first birthday. On January 4th he took his first steps into eternal life, due to a cardiovascular event. During his time on earth Jerry attended Franklin Elementary School, Einstein Junior High School, graduating from Appleton West High School in 1977. He later earned an Associates Degree from Fox Valley Technical College in Electromechanical Technology. Jerry held many jobs during his adult life including retail store manager at Video Visions, electronics technician at Electronic Assembly Corporation, and DJ/bartender at Skyline Nightclub. Most recently he was self-employed as a website developer and PC troubleshooter. His passion was music and photography. He looked forward to attending local outdoor concerts, especially Mile of Music, where he captured hundreds of photos. He loved sharing his perspective around a campfire, on everything from religion, to politics, to the paranormal. His interesting sense of humor will definitely be missed by friends and family.

Jerry is survived by his mother, Susan Schnese of Appleton; brother, Michael (Julia) Schnese of Menasha; niece, Dylan Schnese of Appleton; aunt, Pat Kernen of Neenah; uncles, Jake McDonnell of Fullerton, CA. and Bob (Rebecca) McDonnell of North Carolina; and many other cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Jerome in 2013, Uncle Cal and Aunt Rose Schnese, maternal and paternal grandparents, and cousin Karen (Schnese) Wallace.

The Schnese family would like to thank the first response team and the ICU nurses at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center, Appleton for their compassionate care.

A celebration of life gathering will be held at a later date.
