James “Jim” Nystrom, 83, passed away with family by his side on July 6, 2026. He was born on November 4, 1942, to John and Myrtle (Tobin) Nystrom.
Jim was born and raised in Wisconsin. After he graduated high school, he served the country by joining the United States Marine Corp. He married Janet (Gardner) and together they raised 2 daughters.

It wasn’t just his own cars that he liked, as he was also NASCAR fan. He also enjoyed traveling and bowling and loved the Packers and Brewers.
Jim is survived by his wife Janet, daughters Tina Nystrom and Stacy (Curt) Swanson; grandchildren Megan (Sarah Ruby) Sternagel, Tyler (Kristi Bortolussi) Sternagel, Olivia Swanson, and Ian Swanson; siblings Lynn (David) Ritchie, Don (Ann) Nystrom, and Gary Nystrom; along with nieces, nephews, and other extended family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister-in-law Jack and Mona Nystrom, and twin daughters Jacqueline and Julie.
