Gerald J. Nechodom

On April 15, 2021, Gerald J. Nechodom was called to his heavenly home at the age of 92.

Gerald was born on April 16, 1928 in Little Chute, son of Adam and Harriet (Jansen) Nechodom.  On January 22, 1947, he was united in marriage to Elsie (Sandy) Santkuyl Nechodom at St. John in Little Chute.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.  He was a member of the St. Nicholas Catholic Church.  He enjoyed raising horses, hunting, fishing, and camping.  He was a machinist at Thilmany’s in Kaukauna until he retired in 1990 at age 62.

Gerald is survived by his three children: son Terry Nechodom, Freedom; son Tim (Mary) Nechodom, Freedom; daughter Kathy (Mike) Wyland, Appleton; 4 grandchildren:  Joe (Emily) Nechodom, Jesse (Jenna Harer-Nechodom) Nechodom, Tricia (Scott Walter) Nechodom, and Todd (Melanie) Wyland; 8 great-grandchildren: Evan, Emma, Madelyn, Addy, Addision, Kaylin, Eleanor and Vayda; Brother-in-law Bill Gildernick; Sister-in-law Marge Santkuyl.

Gerald was preceded in death by his wife Elsie, parents, brothers Robert and Joe; sisters Alice and Charlotte; daughter-in-law Mary Kay Nechodom; and other in-laws.

Private funeral services for Gerald will be held at Valley Funeral Home, Appleton, Wisconsin.

Thank you for all the special memories and the good times we shared.  May the angels lead you into Paradise.  We find comfort in knowing mom and dad are reunited and can dance together again. Be happy until we all meet again.  You will never be forgotten.  WE LOVE YOU, DAD!  Your loving family.
