George T. Halko, 74, of Menasha, WI, passed away Saturday, November 7, 2020. George was born on March 28, 1946 in Providence, Rhode Island to the late Michael Halko and Marie (Arruda) Janks. George graduated from Appleton West High School, having also attended Wilmot High School and Seymour High School. George was a military veteran having served a tour of duty in Korea with the United States Army. After serving his country, George spent many years as a sales manager for the glass business. George enjoyed spending time with family and friends, he was an avid Packers fan, and he also liked cars, movies, collecting and all things outer space.
George is survived by his children Michelle “Shelly” (Eric) Ericksen, Michael Halko, and Griffen (Rachel) Halko; his grandchildren Ashley, Tyler, Chanelle, McKenzie, Jaxon and Cheyenne and his great-grandchildren Kaiden, Aleah Rae, Carter, Elise, Riley, Mia, Cooper and McCullough. George is also survived by his siblings, Paula (Bill) Kunz, Larry Halko, Laura (Larry) Hart, and Jeffrey (Colleen) Halko and several nieces and nephews. George was preceded in death by his father, Michael, his mother, Marie, his step-father, Al Janks and his sister-in-law Linda Halko.
A Celebration of Life will be planned at a later date.
