Emilie Kubicar, 82, of Appleton, WI passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, February 21, 2021 at Theda Clark Medical Center in Neenah. She was born on March 20, 1938 in Regensburg, Germany to Anton and Emilie (Mühlbauer) Riemhofer. She attended school in Germany and trained in business to be a sales clerk, where she met her husband, Joseph Kubicar. They were married on July 17, 1959, living in several locations with his military assignments, until settling in Augusta, GA. In Augusta, she sold Mary Kay Cosmetics for many years and had lots of fun with the German American Friendship Club. After 40 years in Augusta, where she made many good friends, she made the leap and moved to Appleton, WI to be closer to her only daughter and family.
Emilie enjoyed dancing, playing cards, going to the theater to watch plays and movies, traveling, knitting, reading, laughing, and especially, spending time with her family and friends. Her grandchildren were a source of great joy to her.
Emilie is survived by her daughter, Tanya (JC) DeBraal, her grandchildren, Nicholas & Brandon DeBraal, her brother, Anton (Gertraudl) Riemhofer, her sisters, Petronilla Pflugradt, Annemarie Röhrl, Renate Riemhofer, and Brigitte Strozyk, brother-in-law, John (Shirley) Kubicar, along with many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Emilie is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Kubicar, her brother, Robert (Betty) Riemhofer, brothers-in-law, Horst Pflugradt, Gustav Röhrl, Mike Kubicar, Steve (Lucy) Kubicar, sisters-in-law, Mary (John) Maskovich, Katherine (John) Huba, and Jean Furin.
