Douglas Eugene Fietzer

Douglas Eugene Fietzer passed away June 11, 2021 in Appleton, WI. Doug was born on January 16th, 1943 to the late Alfred and Dorothy Fietzer with his twin brother, Don.

Doug grew up in Clintonville and graduated class of 1961. After graduation he joined the Air Force and served from 1961 -1965. He married Nancy Stoehr on April 20th, 1963. Doug also enjoyed working as an electrician at Thrivent Financial.

Doug loved hunting and fishing and ALL sports. Watching his grandsons grow up, Doug was so proud of them. He loved to watch Tylin racing motorcycles and Mason with developing his love for photography. Doug enjoyed spending time with his family and his grand dogs. 

Doug is survived by his wife Nancy, a daughter Kimberly (James) Dunham, and a son Scott (Holly) Fietzer, grandsons, Mason and Tylin Fietzer and a brother Robert Fietzer, and in-laws, Sally and Monte Tetzlaff, Jean Fietzer as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Dorothy Fietzer. Doug’s siblings: sister, Joanne and brothers, Dwaine and twin brother Donald, along with his in laws, Minor and Helen Stoehr.

Funeral services will be held at Valley Funeral Home, Appleton, on Wednesday June 16, 2021 with visitation from 9-11 service at 11 with luncheon to follow.   Inurnment will be in Riverside Cemetery, Appleton, WI.
