Dorothy E. (Hardrath) Boriin

Dorothy Boriin, age 97, was called to her heavenly home on January 19th, 2022. She was born in Manitowoc, WI to Alma and Edward Hardrath on March 14, 1924. Dorothy attended Lutheran school through 8th grade, 9 through 12 public school, graduating from Lincoln high school in 1942. She attended College of Cosmetology in Appleton, WI and worked as a hairdresser for over 30 years. In retirement, she volunteered as a tax counselor for seniors. Dorothy was very active with her church and community.

She had a great love for life and sharing her knowledge and life experiences with family and friends. In her free time she enjoyed camping, knitting, sewing, bowling on a league and polka dancing. Dorothy's greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, grandchildren and great grandchildren. The way Dorothy would light up when she was with her family truly was an example of how much family was her greatest treasure and blessing. 

Survivors include her three children: Thomas Luedtke, James (Patricia) Luedtke and Lynn (Brad Ludwig) Osman, five grandchildren: Ami (Colin) Gaytan, Michelle Luedtke, Allison Luedtke, and Carolyn (Antonio) Olivo, and Ashley (Nate Rahn) Osman. Six great grandchildren: Caylee, Isabel, Grayson, Emily, Liam, and Logan. Step children: Kim Boriin, Nancy (Chuck) Reisterer, and Dawn Boriin. Dorothy is further survived by her sister Joan (Don) Moder, sisters in law: Patti and Rita Boriin, as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Dorothy is proceeded in death by: husband Kenneth Luedtke, husband Ralph Boriin, parents Alma and Edward Hardrath, son: Steve Luedtke, grandson Cullen Osman, great grandson: Devon Gaytan, Sister: Alice Eisner, brothers: Herbert and Elmer Hardrath.

In keeping with Dorothy’s wishes, a private family service was held.
