Deborah Ann Krause

Deborah A. Krause, age 67 of Appleton, died peacefully at home on September 17th, 2022. 

Born Deborah Ann Hando on October 20th, 1954, she grew up in Appleton and graduated from Appleton West High School in 1972. Later on, she attended and graduated from Fox Valley Technical College with a degree in nursing where she worked as a Registered Nurse for many years. 

Deborah was married to Joseph Wickesberg for a period of time where they had and raised their two sons Travis and Tyler in Appleton. 

Later on, Deborah met Alvin Krause, they married and were married up until Alvin’s death in 2021.

In Deborah’s spare time, she enjoyed spending time with family and friends, throwing Christmas parties and loved to cook and bake. Deborah loved to collect antique furniture and was one of the most generous persons you would meet. 

Deborah is survived by her two sons Travis Wickesberg (spouse Whitney) and Tyler Wickesberg (spouse Beth and granddaughter Ava), her two sisters Gail Sharpe (spouse Gary) and Sheri Murton (spouse Dan), nieces Katie Pachefsky (and family), Sara Krenke (and family), Jenny Sharpe and Dori Hando, Lisa Much. Nephews Brad Murton (and family), Brian Murton (and family), Mark Hando (and family) and Don Hando (and family) Scott Nelson, as well as several close friends. 

She is preceded in death by her spouse Alvin Krause, her dog Scooter, her parents Donald and Loraine Hando, her brother Richard Hando, her sister Pat Nelson as well her grandparents and several aunts and uncles. 

A gathering of remembrance of Deb’s life will be held on Saturday September 24th from 10am – 12pm at Valley Funeral home.
