David Lee Willer

David (Dave) Lee Willer, Appleton, Our beloved Dad, Son, Brother, Grandpa, Uncle and friend passed away on Sunday, November 20, 2022.  David was born Sept. 9, 1954 to Dorothy and the late Harvey Willer.  David had two children, Stephanie (Tracy) Williamson and Travis Willer, from his first marriage and two step-children, Crystal Flaherty (Greg) and Amy (Kevin) Brooks, from his second marriage that are left with many happy memories of him.  He will always be remembered as “Silly Papa” by his grandchildren, Ashley (Aaron) Warning, Brandon Warning, Caity Williamson, Jerron Willer and Owen Brooks who gave him the most joy.  Throughout his life, he enjoyed helping his family, planning and going on family trips, trying new recipes to share with his family, or just plain driving them nuts, he did it all with love! David was a big brother to his sister, Nancy (Jerry) Hickey and uncle to her children Tracee (Chad) Wilz and Adam (Jaimie) Shebilske.  David was famous for instigating lively discussions, just ask Nancy and Caity!  He was fond of giving his mother reasons for her to “pound bumps on his head”, but was always there when she needed him.  The stories his best friend, “Chip” Arthur Hermann, has to tell are endless and full of laughs from hunting and sturgeon spearing to mishaps and special “finds” in Daytona Beach, FL.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Sunday, Nov. 27th, 2022 at 2pm at Capitol Centre, 725 W. Capitol Dr., Appleton.  Family and friends are invited to come share stories of David and of course food!  David wouldn’t have it any other way!
