Anthony “Tony” W. Gaschler, age 78, of Shiocton passed away January 12, 2021 at Theda Care Appleton, due to heart failure. Tony was born February 25, 1942 to the late Joseph and Helen (Fischer) Gaschler. He married Vicki L. Furman on January 23, 1981.
Tony worked for Kimberly Clark Diaper Plant for many years. During his younger years he and Vicki enjoyed attending NASCAR races in Darlington, NC, elk hunting in Colorado, and raising various farm animals. He spent many hours cutting wood and driving his tractor “Allis”. After he retired, Tony enjoyed riding his ATV around and fishing at his pond, especially in the last few years with Bert and Leland, his great-grandsons. He was an active member at St. Patrick’s Parish, Stephensville, serving many years on councils & The Round Up. He looked forward to every gun-deer season, when he was able to spend the week at Deer Camp with the Schroeder crew.
Tony is survived by his daughters, Michelle (Russ) Henry and Jen (Frank) Calabrese. Granddaughters: Mikayla Henry, Amber (Robert) Lauer , and Autumn (Travis) Gill. Great grandchildren: Bert, Leland, and Cora Lauer. Brother and sister-in-law, Joe and Mary Gaschler. Mother-in-law, Hazel Furman. Brother-in-law Jay Furman. Brothers from different mothers, Jeff and Charlie Schroeder. Good friend, Billy Abitz.
Tony was preceded in death by his wife Vicki, son Tony, a baby great- grandson Joseph Lauer, his parents, his brother Mike, and father-in-law Shirley Furman.
Memorial Service will be held on Saturday January 16, 2020 at 11:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church (N3686 State Hwy 76 Hortonville, WI 54944) Fr. Michael Thiel will officiate. Visitation will be held from 10:00 am until the hour of service at the church.
