Alexandria Terrill (Okrasinski) Nitke, 35, of Greenville, passed away surrounded by her family’s love on September 26, 2023, at Froedtert Hospital in Milwaukee following an unexpected illness. Taken too soon, she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A devoted wife and mother to husband Matthew Nitke and their two children, Isabella, 12, and Elijah, 9, Alex’s greatest joy in life was being with her family. She especially loved watching and supporting her daughter at her dance competitions and her son at his hockey tournaments, and she treasured her regular girls’ nights with her mom. She warmly welcomed the kids’ cousins over for sleepovers, enjoyed reading, and liked to take walks around the neighborhood with Matt and the kids. She and Matt were married in New London on August 9, 2014 in a ceremony at the home of Matt’s parents, Timothy and Karen Nitke.
Alex was born April 1, 1988, to Dawn Marie (Burke) Suprise and Jeffrey Andrew Okrasinski at Appleton Medical Center. She graduated from New London Senior High School in 2006 and went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in 2010 from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, where she studied child psychology. She most recently worked for EDCi, a communication and technology company in Appleton.
She leaves behind many family members, friends, neighbors, coworkers and others, who will forever remember her and hold her in their hearts with love.
A visitation for Alex will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 4, from 3-5 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home in Appleton, followed by a brief memorial service there, at 2211 N. Richmond Street. Immediately after the memorial service, a celebration of life will be held at Northland Sports Pub and Grill in Appleton, at 340 W. Northland Avenue.
