William "Bill" Bogardus Obituary

William E. Bogardus (Bill), 62, passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 at Vista Hospital in Waukegan, IL after a long battle with cancer and numerous complications.  He was born on November 1, 1956 to the late John and Ernestine (Ohme) Bogardus.

Bill worked for the Transportation Security Administration as a Screener in both the Appleton and Green Bay Airport’s for 16 years. Whenever Bill would visit, everyone would look forward to hearing the latest airport stories. His hobbies included:  watching all kinds of racing, had a passion for the outdoors where he went fishing, hunting, and rode his ATV in the Northwood’s.  Bill always looked forward to the yearly fall trip to fish Musky on Lake of the Woods with a group of great friends.  He loved to entertain people with all his stories of his “younger” days as well as the present.  Bill was always there to help a friend any way he could.

Bill is survived by three cousins: Jane Brite, Jim Davis and Lacy (Lines) Pickering; his best buddy on four legs, Beavis; and many close friends who were like family.
