Sharon Jean Werdin, 78, died Wednesday May 29, 2019 at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center Appleton. She was born in New London on June 13, 1940, daughter of the late Fred and Helen (Taubel) Bellile. Sharon married Gordon Werdin. He preceded her in death on August 11, 2013.
Sharon enjoyed staying at home, caring not only for her own two sons, but for other children, as she ran a day care from her home for many years, as her husband Gordon worked as the Chief of Police for the City of Wautoma. She enjoyed painting, growing and tending to her flowers, playing cards and traveling with Gordon. Sharon’s greatest love was her time spent with her family and her two dogs, Sugar and Molly.
Sharon is survived by her two sons: Ronald and Terry; five grandchildren: Brandy Marks, Kelly Gustin, Mike (Jamie) Bartman, Amy (Russell) Meehan and Brandon (Jenny) Bartman; 13 great grandchildren; her brother, Fred (Mary) Bellile; and sister Kay Brush; her two dogs: Sugar and Molly; and several nieces and nephews. Sharon was further preceded in death by two sisters: Arlene Wanty and Donna Southard; and two brothers in-law: Pat Brush and Dick Wanty.
In keeping with Sharon’s wishes, a private family celebration will be held at a later date.
Sharon’s family would like to extend a special thank you to all of her friends, family and neighbor’s for their visits and care for Sharon.
