Rex H. Loendorf
Age 84, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in Green Bay, Wisconsin surrounded by his loving family.
Rex was born on September 25, 1934 in Racine, Wisconsin to Raymond and Christine (Williamson) Loendorf. He left high school (Antigo, WI) early to join the United States Army. He later transferred his military service to the United States Air Force. Rex served in the military for a total of 22 years including tours of duty during both the Vietnam and Korean Wars.
Rex was actively involved, for many years, with the Lions Club in Greenville, Wisconsin; the Am-Vets in Greenville, Wisconsin; and the American Legion Post in Green Valley, Arizona.
Rex married Judith A. Falk on July 4, 1964. She preceded him in death in February 2001. Rex was blessed enough to find love a 2nd time. Rex wed Barbara E. Krol on February 14, 2004.
Rex is survived by his wife, Barb; 3 children - Tim (Joy) Loendorf, Lisa (Patrick) Porter, and Jennifer (Travis) Shepard; 3 step-children - Julie (Rod) Huth, Robert (Johanna) Le Beau, and Lynn Hanagan; 12 grandchildren and 1 great-granddaughter. He is further survived by 6 siblings, several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews, MANY close friends, and 2 very special fur babies – Jack and Lucky.
Rex's family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Valley Funeral Home N1858 Greenville Drive in Greenville, Wisconsin. Memorial celebration starts at 4 PM until Prayer Service at 7:30 PM, concluding with full Military Honors. Interment will be held at Turney Hill Cemetery at a later date.
