Katie L. Yates

Katie Yates, 39, of Appleton passed away after a long illness surrounded by family on August  12, 2018.

Katie is the beloved daughter of David and Mary Yates. She leaves behind her beloved sister and best friend Alicia (Ben) Yates Hubacher; beloved brother, Sam (Brooke) Yates.  Nieces and nephews; Cole Yates, Baylor Yates, Bryn Yates, Zach Hubacher, Emma Hubacher and Will Hubacher. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and her great aunt Laura Murphy.

Katie adored her nieces and nephews. They were the light of her life. Words cannot encapsulate her enormous capacity of generosity, kindness, empathy and her legendary sense of humor. The void she is leaving will never be filled.

A Celebration of Life will take place at 3:00 PM on Wednesday August 15 2018 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton. Katie’s family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until the time of the celebration.

The family would like to give a special thank you to her GEODIS family for their support and understanding during her illness.  Also, thank you to ICU nurse Laura at Theda Care Neenah for the special care and compassion given to Katie during her final days.

Katie now continues to live on through others due to Organ Donation.
