James E Carew
Age 76, passed away on September 8, 2018. He was born on July 31, 1942 in New London, WI son of John and Rebecca Carew. Jim graduated from Manawa High School. He worked at Hamilton and sons canning factory. He later worked at Miller Electric in cleaning service until retirement. His passion was stopping for coffee at the Paper Valley Hotel.
He enjoyed his early years at Bear Lake. He was quite the history buff sharing what all happened in Manawa. He traveled extensively and enjoyed his many trips.
He is survived by his brothers Tom and Sue, Bill and Sally, niece Tonya and Joe Nienhaus and Family. Niece Katy and Scott Boese, nephews Mike and Trisha Carew and family. Jeff and Sara Carew and Family. John and Pam Carew and Family and Uncle Gordon Carew.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Rebecca Carew and several aunts and uncles.
The family is very grateful for his wonderful care at Appleton Retirement Community and ThedaCare Hospice.
The Mass of Christian celebration for James life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 17, 2018 at St. Joseph Catholic Parish, 410 W Lawrence St Appleton, with the Rev Jim Leary officiating. James family will receive relatives and friends at the church on Monday from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30a.m. Service. Inurnment will be held at Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in the town of Little Wolf.
