Dorothy Mae Alma Uhlenbrauck, 93, of the town of Freedom was called to heaven November 3, 2018 while residing at The Bridges of Appleton. She was born in Appleton, April 3, 1925, daughter of the late George and Mabel (Tornow) Brockman. Dorothy married Melvin Uhlenbrauck on November 13, 1943. He preceded her in death in 1996.
Dorothy was a long time member of St. Peter Ev. Lutheran Church, Freedom. She took comfort in her church and her faith. She also took pleasure in listening to polka music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends.
Dorothy is survived by her four children, Royal (Marla) Uhlenbrauck, Appleton, Adele Zimmerman, Shawano, Charlene (Joseph) Lampinen, Hot Springs, AR; and Dale (Susan) Uhlenbrauck, Rice Lake; a sister, Mae Uhlenbrauck, Appleton; sister in-law, Eunice Zimmerman, Appleton; brother in-law, Ken (Marva) Uhlenbrauck, Appleton; and many grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother and sister in-law, Emory (Marian) Brockman; brother in-law, Vernon Uhlenbrauck; sister in-law and brother in-law, Gladys (Norman) Schuette; brother in-law, Ray Zimmerman; and special friend, George Reber.
Funeral service for Dorothy will be held 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 7 at ST. PETER EV. LUTHERAN CHURCH, N2740 French Road, with Rev. Jim Fleming officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Tuesday evening from 4:00 until 7:00PM and continue Wednesday morning from 9:00 until 10:45 AM with the funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be at Community Lutheran Cemetery.
