Lillian Margurite Schinke, 93, passed away peacefully with family by her side on Tuesday, March 12, 2024 at Care Partners of Kaukauna. She was born on September 30, 1930 in Western Springs, Illinois, the daughter of Harry and Hazel Skjoldager. Lillian was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Appleton. Lillian married the love of her life, Richard Schinke Sr. on September 2, 1950. Her pride and joy was her family and going to the cottage on Sawyer Lake. Mom had a love for dogs and raised and bred Shetland Sheepdogs for many years. She loved to play Canasta and had a knack for always coming out on the winning side.
Lillian is survived by her sons; Robert (Sandy) Schinke of Gresham, Richard Jr. (Laurie) Schinke of Sherwood, James Schinke of Sayner, Ronald (Melissa) Schinke of Neenah, 6 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Richard Sr., her parents, brothers; Ralph Skjoldager, George Skjoldager, Jack Skjoldager, James Skjoldager, and daughter-in-law Sandy Schinke.
Mom this is not goodbye, it is, we will see you later! We love and miss you.
Funeral service for Lillian will be held at 11am on Tuesday, March 19, 2024 at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Appleton, officiated by Pastor Justin Shrum. Visitation will begin at the church at 9am until the hour of service. Lillian will be laid to rest at Community Lutheran Cemetery, Appleton.
The family would like to thank Care Partners of Kaukauna and St. Croix Hospice for their kindness and care given to Lillian.
In lieu of other expressions of sympathy a memorial fund is being established to be donated to organizations dear to Lillian’s heart.
