Judith D. Ziebell

Judith “Judi” D. Ziebell age 78, passed away peacefully after a short stay at Cherry Meadows Hospice on Wednesday, April 17, 2024. She was born on April 25, 1945, daughter of the late George and Sarah Wilson.

Judi worked many years as a beautician at Henry’s Beauty Salon, she was a crust maker at Orv’s Pizza back in the day, and she was a bartender for many years at many places including Whiskey River in Big Falls, Val’s Place, Remter’s, Hank’s, The American Legion, and most recently River’s Edge.

Judi is survived by her children Rick (Lucy) Melchert and their children Kirsten and Melissa, Mike Melchert, Tara (Ken) Ebben and their children Mikayla (Tommy) Dugandzic and Mitch Ebben; and Tom (Holly) Melchert; her great grandson Dutton Dugandzic; her sister Vicki Martinek; her special friend Mel Brocker, and numerous other friends and family.

Besides her parents, Judi was preceded in death by her husband Kenny Ziebell; her step-father, Paul Zimmerman; her sister and brother in law Jeri and Ron Kositzke.

A funeral service for Judi will be held on Friday, April 26, 2024 at 6:00 p.m. at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street, Appleton. Visitation will begin at the funeral home on Friday at 3:00 p.m. and will continue until the time of the service. A private interment will take place in Appleton’s Highland Memorial Park.
