Donald A. Barker, age 76 of Appleton, WI, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 18, 2024 at Oakridge Gardens in Menasha, WI.
He was born on June 3, 1947 in Green Bay, WI, son of the late Glen and Arlis (Mielke) Barker.
On August 19, 1967, he married Helen Labowski in Midland, Texas.
Don was a veteran of US Air Force. He was a mill worker for Combine Locks until the time of his retirement. Don enjoyed fishing, camping, eating Mexican food, boating watching old Westerns and the Price Is Right and was into Aviation.
Don is survived by his wife of 56 years, Helen Barker; one son Scott Barker; one daughter Tammy Barker; one granddaughter Kisha Kyalusanza; his brothers and sisters Linda (fiancé John Birr) Garvey, Arvin (Penny) Barker, Russel (Paula) Barker, Debra (William) Fabisiak, Dean (Sherri) Barker, Donna (Steve) Cotter and James (Darla) Barker.
Don’s funeral service will be held on Monday, March 25, 2024 at 11:00 am at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond St., Appleton, WI with full military honors. Entombment will at Highland Memorial Park in Appleton, WI.
Family and friend may greet the family on Monday, March 25th from 9:00 am until the time of services at the funeral home.
