Richard Pechotta Obituary

 

Richard Paul Pechotta, 86, of Appleton, died Sunday, February 18, 2018 at Oak Ridge Gardens Nursing Home. He was born in Appleton on December 24, 1931, son of the late Herman and Theresa (Muggenthaler) Pechotta. Richard married the love of his life, Patricia Gollner on June 9, 1958.

 

After graduating high school, Richard went to work as a junior tradesman for Kimberly Clark. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict. After his honorable discharge, Richard continued to work for Kimberly Clark as a millwright, retiring after 40 years in 1990.

Richard is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Patricia; and their five children: Mark (Sharon), Menasha, Anne (Doug) Knapp, Biloxi, MS, Linda, Colorado Springs, CO, Sue (John) Larson, Neenah, and Pete (Tricia), Cary, IL; and his grandchildren. He was further preceded in death by his twin brothers: Raymond and Daniel; and sister, Ruth.

 

Mass of Christian burial for Richard will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday February 24, 2018 at ST. BERNARD CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1617 W. Pine Street, Appleton, with Fr. Dennis Ryan and Fr. Bill Swichtenberg concelebrating. Visitation will be held at the church Saturday morning beginning at 10:00 until 11:45 AM, with Mass to follow at 12:00 PM. Entombment will be at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
