Marilyn D. Stroud (Korth), 67, passed away on February 21. "He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away"(Rev. 21:4). Marilyn has been close with Christ her entire life even as to influence then boyfriend Ron to become a Christian.
Marilyn loved painting, gardening, the performing arts and her grandchildren. She wore many hats throughout her life from working at the Social Security Administration, to stay at home mom, to retiring from Kimberly-Clark. Even after retirement she couldn't sit still and continued working as a floral designer and as a manager at the Performing Arts Center. Marilyn could do just about anything from being a wonderful cook with numerous awards to even operating a tractor to mow her prairie of vibrant wild flowers. Marilyn was a most caring, wonderful woman, wife, and grandmother.
Soul mates since first being asked to dance 1969; Marilyn and Ronald Stroud (deceased) had been lovingly married for 41 years before his death. Marilyn has gone to be at his side with our heavenly father. She is further loved by children, Aaron (Stacy) Stroud and Carrie (Brett) Powers. She is adored and will be forever missed by grandchildren: Ethan, Graham, Isabella, and Alexa. She is survived by siblings: Karl (Judy) Korth, Audrey (Jerry) Brown, Dalton (Lucina) Korth, Dwight (Arlene) Korth, and Gladys Scheller. "In-laws" Faye Stroud (mother-in-law), Linda (Bill) Thompson, Gary (Rhonda) Stroud, Lori (Tom) Filz. Also many awesome nieces/nephews, special lifelong friend Janet (Dennis) Olson and friend Robert Steinberg.
Visitation will be held at ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 8 South 4th St., Winneconne, Saturday, February 24, 2018, beginning at 1:00 PM followed by a memorial service at 2:00 PM.
Farewell, we love you, go with God. We will meet again.
Thank you to our kind relatives and friends who have and continue to help us. Thank you for all of your thoughts and prayers. May the Lord comfort all who grieve in Marilyn's passing.
