Larry Duane Habeck

November 14, 1950 ~ November 3, 2017 (age 66) 66 Years Old


Larry Duane Habeck, age 66, of Grand Chute, WI passed away on Friday Nov. 3rd, 2017 at his home surrounded by his family following a lengthy battle with T-cell Lymphoma.  He was born Nov. 14, 1950 to the late Ruben and Charlotte Habeck of Nichols WI. He married his first love Susan (Elliott) July 21, 1973 spending 44 happy years together. 

Larry served proudly in the US Army 173rd Airborne Division Paratrooper 1970 – 1972 receiving a Purple Heart during his service.  He went on to attend NWTC and FVTC receiving degrees in architectural and mechanical design.  He worked for Kimberly Clark as an Engineer Specialist for 33 years and retired in 2006.  Larry enjoyed just about anything to do with the outdoors.  An avid deer hunter, spending many seasons enjoying the camaraderie of family and friends.  He also spent many hours tinkering around the house working on various projects, traveling, garage sale shopping, reading and photography but most of all spending time with his family especially his grandson Zander.

Larry is survived by his loving wife Susan; his daughter Stacy (Tignor); and grandson Zander; three sisters: Linda (David) Dummer, Christine (Thomas) Pafford, and Cynthia Habeck; and several nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Alex; and two brothers-in-law: Keith and Ken.

A celebration of Larry’s life, friends and family will gather 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM Saturday, November 11, 2017 at VALLEY FUNERAL HOME.
