Bill L Thomack

Bill L. Thomack, age 90, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family at home on Saturday, January 13, 2018. He was born on January 9, 1928 in Appleton, the son of the late Adna and Laura (McFarland) Thomack. Bill was united in marriage to Joan Bartman on August 1, 1950 in Appleton. Their marriage was blessed with five children. Bill worked for a number of years for the Appleton Park Dept as a landscaper and tree surgeon. Later, he worked for a number of years in sales and marketing. Bill was a gentle and loving husband, father and grandfather, with the Lord being his first love.

Bill is survived by his wife, Joan of 67 years, five children: Mary Lou (Howard) Marx, Russ Thomack, Dan (Rachel) Thomack, Geralyn (Bruce) Baseman, Kathy (Dean) Ramsden; 19 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, one sister, Marilyn Feldman, and two brothers-in-law, Peter (Sharon) Bartman and Joe Bartman. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Davy Marx, one sister, Shirley (Stan) Fall, one brother, Kenneth (Barb) Thomack, and two sisters-in-law, Carol (Bob) Maloney and Peggy Bartman.

Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 am on Friday, January 19, 2018 at Valley Funeral Home, 2211 N. Richmond Street. Friends and family may visit at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 10:45 am. Private interment will take place at Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.
